Corners of boards rubbed and frayed and slightly bumped. Head and tail of spine rubbed. Paper strip title to spine incomplete, darkened and worn. Contemporaneous London County Council school prize bookplate on front pastedown: Limehouse, St. Paul's Road School Burdett Road, E. 8 dated June 1926. Off-setting to front and rear endpapers. Text pages somewhat marked and discoloured from lots of 'grubby' children's hands, especially pages 16-17 which has a little nick to bottom page edge.
