Book Description Genesis Publications Limited, Hedley New Zealand & Headley Australia, Guildford, UK, Masteron, NEW ZEALAND & Sydney, AUS, 1984. Leather over Boards, Slipcased. Condition: Very Good. First Edition 1/2000. 546pp, profusely illustrated in b&w and color, full edge gilt. "Fifty Years Adrift" is Derek Taylor's colourful autobiography packed with glorious pieces of memorabilia from his early days as a journalist to his term as Beatles publicist and great friend and beyond. Written by Taylor and edited and annotated by George Harrison, it is a lasting testament to the genius, wit and insight of two great men". One of Genesis Publications' earliest music titles, it is bound in 3/4 brown half-calf leather with a gilt-titled, five-banded spine over brown cloth boards with the title in gilt letters on red background. An internally most handsome example of the 1984 first edition of this endlessly fascinating memoir from this sixties icon that was present at the birth of Apple Corps and The Monterey International Pop Festival limited to two thousand copies NUMBERED (94/2000) AND SIGNED "Derek Taylor" in blue ink on the front colophon and "George Harrison" in brown ink on the facing foreword housed in the publisher's brown paper over board slipcase with pastedown, as issued. The gilt edges of the textblock are bright with a few trivial scratches that can be viewed in raking light. Its leather spine has sunned, dried, and mottled somewhat with some loss to a bit of the gilt-stamping of Derek Taylor's name. The slipcase shows some minor surface wear with abrasions, nicks, and a small dent along one of the seams. Still in all, this is a most presentable copy that has been priced accordingly. PLEASE NOTE: Additional shipping costs are required for this item beyond our standard rates due to its weight and value - we will inform you of the applicable amount at time of purchase. Signed by the Author and George Harrison. Music Autobiography. Seller Inventory # 025925
