Currie was the editor of the Ladies Home Journal and an enthusiastic book collector. With chapters on The Beginning Urge, How Collectors Happen, and a chapter on Dickens. The frontispiece picture entitled "The Bibliomaniac's Wife" should be owned by all. Bookplate of Stuart Schimmel in each volume. Loosely inserted are 2 A.L.s. and 2 T.L.s. totaling six pages, dated September 30, 1931 to March 19, 1932, from Currie in Bala Cynwyd, PA to the collector William Frazier of Philadelphia, offering advice on how to collect modern first editions. Spines slightly sunned and slipcase has some rubbing with top panel removed, yet present. Bookplate on front pastedown. blue boards, paper spine labels, slipcase. Bookseller Inventory # 121720
