A Belgian manufacturer with roots to 1649. Centered around Liege, Belgium there has long been a co-operative weapons manufacturing effort among various centres - e.g. Herstal, Rhees, Vottem,and Jupille. These 198 pages examine that history - from the 1777 flintlock musket to the ergonomic Machine-Pistol P90. Along the way the company also manufactured: cartridges, lorries, motorcars, tennis rackets, aircraft engines, and motorcycles. World history intervened twice in 1914 and 1939. TEXT assisted by both colour and (archive) b/w photographs.
