Auction catalogues numbered 2 through 5, for sales held in February, 1927, March and May, 1928. First two catalogues for the same sale, lots continuously numbered. The first catalogues medals, autographs, portraits and literary works related to Friedrich von Schiller and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, both of whom were instrumental in the Sturm und Drang literary movement in eighteenth century Germany. With facsimiles of writing samples and portraits. The second catalogue supplements the sale items with works related to Goethe alone. The next two issues catalogue sale items from the collection of Eduard von Bamberg. The final catalogue arranged by genre, chronology, topography and occasionally by author.
