116 p. Includes illustrations. The author was the brother of the subject. Fred Paul Keppel was a Dean of Columbia, an Assistant Secretary of War during the First World War, first as the director of foreign operations of the American Red Cross immediately after the end of the war, and then President of the Carnegie Corporation among other accomplishments. In 1941, Keppel retired from his role as president of the Carnegie Corporation to become the vice-president of the American Philosophical Society. He died in 1943. Very good. No dust jacket. Signed by author. A few pages have pencil erasure residue. Cover has some wear and soiling. Bookseller Inventory # 64491
