First American edition. 8vo, publisher’s original mottled paper covered boards, upper cover with a large paper lettering label printed in black and decorated with a flag in black, red and blue, spine with paper label lettered in black. 122. A fine copy of this delicate little gem with just a bit of toning to the paper label on the spine and a bit of minor wear at the head and foot. FINE FIRST EDITION, written by Kipling while he was a war reporter during the First World War. The work includes six poems written for the publication.
