Reviews
Moreau, associate editor of Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine and author of Ki plinger's Take Charge of Your Career (1990), dutifully devotes the first 230 pages of this guide to personal finance and career planning for the fortysomething reader. Clearly in his element, Moreau lucidly provides practical advice to the lay reader on subjects such as taking advantage of unforeseen career opportunities and relocating. Unwilling to leave well enough alone, he then jam-packs the final 150 pages with information and advice on health, diet, sex, having children, and dealing with parents. Why anyone would seek council on medical, sexual, and parenting issues from a financial writer is certainly a question worth pondering, given the abundance of resources available on these topics. The well-intentioned author has strayed far afield from his area of expertise here.
