About the Author: Kellie Peters is a children’s book author and an elementary school teacher for grades K-4, working with gifted and talented students at a school in the midcoast region of Maine. She has a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education and a masters degree in the education of gifted and talented students. Peters is also the co-owner, with her husband, of an oyster farm called Norumbega Oyster, Inc., which is located in a harbor near their home and which serves as the setting for her new non-fiction children’s book, Farming on the Sea. Her eleven-year-old twins Sam and Kate are featured in the story.
