The front cover of the magazine is illustrated with a black & white photograph of Katharine Hepburn from her role as Mrs. Basil in Enid BagnoldÕs acclaimed comedy play, directed by Noel Willman, co-starring Charlotte Jones and Richard Kelton. Included in the article is an interview with Miss Hepburn by film director, George Cukor, who directed nine of her films, including her first, A Bill of Divorcement with John Barrymore. Also illustrated with photos of HepburnÕs other films, including AdamÕs Rib, The AFrican Queen, The LIon in Winter, Bringing Up Baby, Guess WhoÕs Coming to Dinner, Love Among the Ruins, etc. Performing Arts magazine focused on the theatre scene in the Los Angeles and San Francisco area, and circulated to audiences attending prime attractionss at the Music Center, Hollywood Bowl and Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, and at the Opera House and other theatres in San Francisco.
