Book Description The Overlook Press, 1997. Book Condition: Sehr gut. 496 S.; sehr zahlr. Illustrationen; 25 cm. Sehr gutes Ex. - Englisch. // INHALT : Rediscovering Nussbaum's Works. --- Biographical Data. --- Childhood and Youth --- Portrait of a Young Man (Self-Portrait) --- Adaption and the Cultural Identity --- The Young Felix in a Jewish Community. --- "Remain Pious" --- "The Two Jews" ("Interior of Osnabruck Synagogue") --- Confronting his Father's Art World --- Views in the Provinces (1925-1927). --- "Fairground" --- Kermesse --- "Storehouse" --- "Streetscene" ("Old Berlin") --- "My Mother" --- "My Father" --- "Mill in East Friesland" --- "Windmill in Xanten, White Mill" --- Body of a Mill near Xanten --- The Hakenhof in Kommenderiestrasse in Osnabruck --- Portrait of a Young Man ("Portrait of the Painter Karl Hutloff") --- Predestined Affinity - Van Gogh (1927-1928). --- "Talea" --- Still-Life with Basket of Washing "Self-Portrait" (Self-Portrait in a Green Hat) Drawbridge across a Moorland Ditch Portrait of the Artist's Mother Sunflowers --- Nussbaum's Pictorial World (1928) --- Drawing from the painting Burial --- "The Post Office Yard" ("Postmen") --- "Country Postman" --- "Radio Tower No. 2" --- "Lovers" --- "Gypsy" --- Gypsy Woman --- "Burial" --- "Grief ("Widow at the Window") --- "Self-Portrait with Mask" --- Good-bye to the Models (1929-1930). --- Country Road with Felix Nussbaum Painting "My Studio" ("Picture of the Studio") --- Street Cafe in Ostend --- Men mending Nets in a Street in Ostend --- "Ostend (Jetty in Ostend)" --- Belgian Landscape with Houses --- "Belgian Landscape" --- "Aries sur Rhone, Avenue of Tombs, Les Alyscamps" --- Landscape in Provence --- "Cagnes sur Mer" --- "A Sense of Grief (1930) --- "Two Brothers" --- "Gymnasts" --- "Winner of the Cycle Race I" ("Fritz Krause at the Peak of His Career" --- "Winner of the Cycle Race II" --- Memory of Nordeney --- Villa Nordsee --- "Cemetery with Windmill" ("Cemetery") --- Drawing from the painting Cemetery with Windmill --- "Gallows" (Funeral) --- "Dance by the Wall" (The Coffin-Bearers) --- "The Cheerless Road" --- Afraid of the Dog --- "The Pessimist" --- Composition sketch for the painting Group Portrait --- "Group Portrait" --- A New Generation --- The Breakthrough (1931) --- "The Fantastic Square" --- "The Shameless Skulpture" --- Drawing from the Painting Hall of Classical Sculpture --- "Antique Park" --- The Painter in his Studio --- The Hurdy-Gurdy Man --- Three Women --- "Embryos" ("Children before the Church and the State") --- Reward for Achievement --- The Villa Massimo in Rome (1932-1933) --- "Black Poodle" --- "Sinful Thought" --- Narcissus --- Carnival Mask (minor prize) --- Shepherd and Statue --- Studio in the Villa Massimo --- Wall in Rome --- Wall in Rome --- Trattoria in a Roman Suburb --- "South W.
