Red cloth. No jacket. 144 pp. Many black and white photos and a few maps throughout. A collection of papers written on the state of forests in Maine, discussing the notable fires that damaged Maine forests, as well as the causes of forest fires, including poor lumbering methods, damage caused, etc. With some discussion of fire impact on the blueberry barrens. GOOD condition. Minor soiling, rubbing and edgewear. Faint dampstain affecting the fore edge margin of the last 1/3 of the book, with some pinkish discoloration from the cloth affecting the last several pages. Minor toning to the paper.
