This is the original 1892 issue which has been nicely rebound in sturdy black buckram. One page at front suffered a few small tears to outer edge which were fixed by a previous owner using tape that is very clear and almost unnoticeable. Book iis hefty with1167 pages. Illustrated withalmost 600 engravings -- portraits oif opioneer settlers, prominent citizens, buildings and "ancient and modern views". Contains a wealth of history and biography in an enormous text.
