Uncommon biography of American soldier, statesman, and traitor General James Wilkinson (1757-1825) who served in the Continental Army during the American Revolution, was twice the Senior Officer of the U.S. Army, was appointed first Governor of the Louisiana Territory in 1805, managed to avoid indictment although not suspicion of his role as a long-term Spanish agent until after his death.
