This copy is close to near fine except for light wear on the overlapping edges of the wraps and a small tear and ding at the base of the spine and light pulls at the staples. Originally published in 1926, this periodical was re-issued in a Limited Edition of 1400 copies in 1985. (120 copies included the signature of Robert Bruce Nugent. This copy is not signed.) It contains work by many artists and writers of the Harlem Renaissance, including Arna Bontemps, Wallace Thurman, Aaron Douglas, Zora Neale Hurston, Countee Cullen, Langston Hughes and others. Wallace Thurman was the Editor for this issue. Four-page supplement by Richard Bruce Nugent on the history of the magazine and its re-publication laid in.
