Edward Sylvester Morse (1838-1925) was a noted American zoologist and a friend (and defender) of astronomer Percival Lowell. From the library of William H. "Cap" Weston (1890-1978), a prominent botanist, mycologist, and Harvard University professor (1921-1956). Inscribed to Weston on the front endpaper: "To Wm. H. Weston / in memory of his famous broadcast from Station W.B.Z. March 17 1926. / from Edward Wigglesworth & S.P.W and the 'silesias.' Prof. Morse gave us this book and we now present it to Prof. Weston / E.W." Wigglesworth (1885-1945) was a mineralogist and the author of books on gems.
