Small 8vo in dark brown plain wraps sans titles. Limited & numbered edition of 500 (this copy not numbered.) Inscribed by author on dedication page. Very Good+ or better: Covers exhibit one small (1/4") closed tear at head of spine and small crease at top corner. Last page has some soiling & light foxing. Text itself clean & tight.(In remarkably great shape for a book of its age.) 139pp plus colophon. This little book is a delightfully whimsical story about a little boy who portrays a Fairy in a play & very much wants to be one. The story begins: "Billy Wright Jr. was a Fairy-Perhaps you have never been a Fairy, but we hope you have." Story includes nymphs, sprites, Butterfly Choruses, magic gardens, white magic & more. Book is illustrated on alternate pages with delicate green drawings of butterflies, birds, fairies, morning glories & more. The author herself was an actress, playwright & author of books on acting. This copy appears to be a review copy, as it was published in hardback. Book self published. Altogether a thoroughly charming story & a very nice copy of an unusual title. #5005H.
