Slender 8vo hardcover in decorated (line drawn floral wreath) terra cotta paper-covered boards over contrasting tan cloth spine with title on paper pastedown. No edition or printing specified. Inscribed & dated by author on fep (To *** /with love/from the author/Sandwich.) Very Good/: paper covered boards moderately stained front & rear. Feps front & rear also exhibit what appears to be the 'ghost' of something (news clipping?) that was at one time perhaps placed in book. Text itself clean & bright with uncut pages. 95pp. The poetry of Montagu, Earl of Sandwich. Poems are varied in theme and include poems to such notables as Walter de la Mare, Brahams, Jelly D'Aranyi, Mary Montagu and A. de Sogonzac. His poetry also addresses local flora & landscapes, a farm in wintertime, war & peace, the unconscious, the Bahamas, ambition, motherhood, U.N.O, old age, depression, spiders, a library, a drawing room and more: 81 poems in all.
