About this Item

92 pages. Dimensions: 8.0in. x 5.0in. x 0.2in.This short story is semi-autobiographical and adventure general fiction. The autobiographical part of this story is not completely accurate according to how these unusual incidents happened. Although they are real, some were the results of dreams, visions, and thought processes. I experienced the majority of these stories, no matter how unreal, over the life course. The adventure general fiction is my way of making sense of the bazaar dreams and happenings. Rather than stop the story where it ended in a dream, I added a fiction component to support the action of the general theme. I titled this story I Fly because in my dreams when I was faced with danger: cut, stabbed, shot, drowned, murdered, I always develop the ability to fly and I simply flew away. Although it is not mentioned here, I have landed on board of jet airplanes, ships, and have been suspended in mid air for hours. When I flew in these instances, I felt catheterized. A peaceful tranquility came over me in my sleep and rather than wake up, I sank into a deep sleep. The initial fear I experienced during a fight, disappeared each time I took flight. I have always said that I would have loved to spend my life in the deep jungles of Africa or Brazil on one adventure after another. After reading this book, I hope you will learn that you are a total person: mind, body, and spirit, and all these forces come together to produce a whole you. Dont be afraid to use your dreams, premonitions, and hunches to help you solve problems, arrive at conclusions, and become a changed individual. This item ships from multiple locations. The adventure general fiction is my way of making sense of the bazaar dreams and happenings. Rather than stop the story where it ended in a dream, I added a fiction component to support the action of the general theme. I titled this story "I Fly" because in my dreams when I was faced with danger: cut, stabbed, shot, drowned, murdered, I always develop the ability to fly and I simply flew away. Although it is not mentioned here, I have landed on board of jet airplanes, ships, and have been suspended in mid air for hours. When I flew in these instances, I felt catheterized. About the Author:

Little Boy Blue (Richard B. Maye, B.S., M.A., PhD) is an Assistant Professor, and he serves as Chair, Department of Sociology, at Illinois College, Jacksonville, Illinois 62650. He is Founder of the Second Timothy Baptist Church, Springfield, Illinois 62703. His passion is teaching all who would listen and understand Sociological Perspectives as well as God's Word. Maye has always been genuinely concerned about each and every person he meets. He is acutely aware of public awareness on social issues: hunger, homeless, nutrition and affordable housing, etc. Sarah Strack-Briggs wrote a newspaper article on Dr. Maye in which she quotes the following: "Dr. Maye has been and will continue to be a favorite among students who have taken his courses. His pure love of the job, unparalleled wit, and genuinely kind manner has allowed Dr. Maye to earn a special place in the hearts of those around him." Maye was the Keynote Speaker at Illinois College for the Dr. Martin Luther King Junior Program January 2008, and an attendee wrote to the Jacksonville Courier Newspaper the following about the Program: "As I write this, it is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and I have just returned from Illinois College, where I heard Dr. Richard B. Maye present a Testament of Hope: the Life and Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr." He continues, "What a presentation! I have attended many events honoring the fallen civil rights leader, but this was the most provocative and inspiring yet." To some Maye is a gadfly, but to others he is a God send.
