About this Item

Book has only very light wear and minor corner bumps. Square and securely bound. Jacket has some edge and corner wear with minor chips and short tears. Art Rosenbaum was a UGA professor of art who was also an avid country musician. This book was a product of his field research on traditional country musicians in North Georgia. Of special interest is the chapter on Howard Finster, the folk artist. Rosenbaum had championed Finster's art before this book, but here he also acknowledges Finster's musical importance. Fascinating book on North Georgia music. Musical transcriptions of the many songs in the book by Bela Foltin, Jr. ; Drawings; B&W Photographs; 10.60 X 8.40 X 1 inches; 256 pages.
