blank + i + Title page + blank + iv + 175 pages + Blank + 14 page indexes + blank + errata + blank with old manuscript notes on this book. Antique full leather binding fair, some rubbing, spine with embossed leather title "Blounts Ant Tenures", covers hanging on by a little leather/mostly cord. Contents mostly very good, clean & tight, a few pages with minor foxing or minor stain, page 5 with a little loss base/corner (not near text), minimal foxing to endpage front/rear from when originally bound, only inscription noted was to rear blank page. Inside cover & opposite endpage are 2 decorative owner bookplates Simon Stephenson F.L.S with his coat of arms & opposite F. Arthur Wadsworth with his coat of arms. This is a very rare early tome on land tenures, manors and their customs. Thomas Blount, 1618-1679. Size: 11 x 18cm. Approx.
