Book Description Ashgrove Publishing Ltd, Sevenoaks, Kent. UK, 1980. Hardcover. Condition: Good+. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good-. First Edition; First Printing. FIRST Edition, FIRST Printing. HARDCOVER. Fine deep blue boards with Bright Gilt titling to the spine. Good Plus condition (pages tanned with age - but uniformly - as usual with this cheaper paper used) in a Very Good Minus pictorial dust jacket. The front flap is over-labelled on the bottom quarter by the publisher, and there is a little blue offsetting to the inside of the jacket - but this doesn't show through, and the d/j is now in a new protective clear - removable - bookfilm plastic cover and looks Fine. The page fore-edges are tanned. Internally there is some light foxing (yellowy) spotting to the endpapers and prelims, o/w NO Inscriptions or Marks. This was a Review copy - and looks unread - I've just downgraded it due to the tanning/light foxing from storage/age. 128 pages. The Title on the dustjacket reads "Frankenstein's Castle. The RIGHT Brain - Door to Wisdom", but on the title page it reads "Frankenstein's Castle. The DOUBLE Brain - Door to Wisdom". So I assume it was changed on the dustjacket for the later editions. "This book by Colin Wilson is a very good introduction and summary to Wilson's ideas and writing. The book, was influenced by the then recent findings about lateralisation of brain function.Wilson argues that we have evolved a left brain ego-consciousness in order to control both our inner world and our outer world. His point, likely, is that the unconscious is largely reactive, whereas the conscious is proactive.etc." . This True FIRST EDITION is Quite Scarce. See Images. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall.
