Description

Two-volume remainder (Volumes II & III) of a three-volume 19th-century edition of Carlyle?s foundational historical narrative on the French Revolution. Printed by Robson & Sons, Pancras Road, N.W. ? a prominent Victorian London printing house used frequently by Chapman & Hall.

Bindings remain tight and square, though light page displacement is visible; no loose pages and overall structure intact. Boards show shelf-wear at spine caps and edges. Text blocks are clean and bright, with excellent readability preserved.

Both volumes bear institutional stamps:
