Tan cloth with rust-colored titles on spine. Book has only light wear and aging. Jakcket has photo of US and Russian troops shaking hands at Elbe River near the end of WWII. Jacket as some edge and corner wear along with some scuffing -- see scan -- but is quite presentable. ; B&W Illustrations; Small 8vo 7½" - 8" tall; 380 pages; Marzani was a Communist (he eventually resigned from the Party) who worked for the OSS after World War II. He was involved in many left-wing activities. This book is signed by Marzani on the ffep. There is also a former owner's stamp. The book is of special interest because the Foreward was written by W.
