First Edition. "Published. October, 1903, R" stated on verso of title. pp. [6], 338, [8pp. adverts]. Blue cloth with decorative gilt spine. Top edge gilt. Book plate on inside front cover. Inner hinge neatly strengthened. Tiny tear to outer edge of front free fly-leaf neatly sealed. Outer margins of a couple pages damaged / chipped due to rough opening. Minor rubbing to extremities. Roger Pocock was an influential 19th century equestrian traveler and one time Canadian Mountie. "Following the Frontier" is his most famous work. Seller Inventory # 000227
