About this Item

First edition. Blue paper covered boards in unclipped jacket. 83 pp. A collection of pastoral themed poetry from Inman, perhaps best known for 17 million word diary that spanned from 1919 to 1963, when he committed suicide. Considered a mediocre poet (see Wikipedia) Arthur Crew Inman was reclusive, primarily living as a shut in during his later years, using inherited wealth to survive. His diary was published in excerpts and served as the basis for a play and an opera. GOOD jacket on a VERY GOOD book. Some chipping to the jacket along the extremities. Minor fading and soiling. Light fading and edgewear to the book. Bookseller Inventory # 009801
