Zelia Nuttall (1857-1933) was born in San Francisco and specialized in Pre-Columbian MesoAmerian manuscripts. 'Fundamental Principles' was her largest publication and dealt with the Incas, Aztecs, Mayans, Zuni along with Greece, Egypt, and Rome.
