First edition. An interesting copy, owned by Glenn Seaborg, the Nobel Prize-winning scientist, with his signature and "Mar. 1967" on the front endpaper. Seaborg won the Nobel Prize in 1951 for discovering the element plutonium with Edwin McMillan. Contributors to the book include Polykarp Kusch, Sheldon C. Reed, Bentley Glass, Edward L. Tatum, William B. Shockley, Paul Ramsey and Kingsley Davis. A bit of shelf wear and sunning, otherwise near fine in dust jacket with a bit of scraping, soiling and edge rubbing, and with edges nicked, mostly on the corners and spine extremities.
