Book Description Committee for National Morale, New York City, 1941. Unpaginated preliminaries, 133p. professionally printed with a bibliography reproduced from typescript, plain printed 11x8.5 inch wraps show mild handling wear and browning, and a small splotch as of black sealing wax, textblock a little browned and thickly pencilled with Possony's marginal brackets and some clumsy underlining. Laid in is a single leaf folded, both sides covered in the Possony pencil (handwriting matches the ownership signature on the first blank) in German; about 250 words. Possony is also listed as on the mega-list of staff found in the preliminaries, one of 5 guys on on one of 14 committees (he's in "military science"). Chair is Arthur Upham Pope, Gregory Bateson is secretary. Henry Murray (CIA planner) and more benign types like Margaret Mead are counted in amongst celebrity academics.
