Bears three signatures of Kathryn Black. [see below] 3 x 5" 194[2]p. Illustrated throughout with black and white captioned drawings. Following the diary pages are the following texts with drawings: Hiking Hints, A First Aid Kit Trail Hints, Some Things You Should KNow About Firewood, Firebuilding Pointers, Types of Fires, Outdoor Cooking, Some Things to Make Some Emergency Lamps and Candlesticks, Some Outdoor Shelters and Beds, "Safeties" for Swimming, Ice Safety, Some Girl Guide and Girl Scout Periodicals, [List of] National Officers, [List of] Board of Directors, Advisory Committee on Business and Finance, Index. Greek card stock covers with a vignette on the front cover in black of a young girl seated on a window and with letter in black on the front cover . Wrappers clean and bright, small ink stain on rear cover, corners square and flat. Laid in are two small cards: a green Girl Scout membership card signed by Kathryn Block and a white Seattle Girl Scouts membership card also signed by Kathryn Black Diary has pencil entries from January into May, as well as other pencil notations, e.g., under the title "Books I have Read". This diary belonged to Kathryn Block, North Creek Valley Patrol, Troop No. One, R.F.D. No. 1, Bothell, Washington. Her father was Albert Block. A Mrs. Hawley was the one who examined her.
