About this Item

Vintage original 8 x 10" (20 x 25 cm.) single weight glossy silver gelatin Color-Glos print still photo, USA. The Ritz Brothers (Jimmy, Harry and Al), Anita Louise, Patsy Kelly, Lionel Atwell, Bela Lugosi; dir: Alan Dwan; Twentieth Century Fox. Comedy horror tale about a rich man (Lionel Atwell) who is being threatened by a killer called the Gorilla. The Ritz brothers are hired to investigate the case. Based on a Broadway play, this would be the Ritz Brothers' last film for director Alan Dwan and the last they would make for home studio Twentieth Century Fox. Bela Lugosi, fresh off the set of SON OF FRANKENSTEIN, played a very creepy butler and he is here with the Brothers and Patsy Kelly. Images from this film showing Lugosi are hard to find. Minor creases to top blank corners, NEAR FINE. Bookseller Inventory # 10211
