Morris B. Royal or commonly called Mott Royal is charged by indictment in the County of Bradford, PA 1855 for . corrupt perjury . has taken refuge within the State of New York. The Governor appoints Nathan Edminster of Athens, Bradford County, PA to be the agent for delivering the aforesaid . First day of December 1855. The printed document with green seal is signed on the upper left corner by the Gov. Jas. Pollock. John M. Sullivan, Depty. Secretary of the Commonwealth. On the reverse is a hand written certification that Morris B. Royal (or alias, Mott) Royal was brought before me by Nathan Edminister . with securities . and discharged from arrest. April 22, 1856 by D[avid] Wilmot, Judge. David Wilmot was a former Congressman, U. S. Senator and famous for the Wilmot Proviso. The document 13" x 16" has been taped down the center leaving stains.
