Only hints of wear with clean cloth, bright gilt, and no internal markings. Dust jacket slightly shelfworn, especially at the top and bottom of the spine, but not price-clipped. Robert West Howard, a well-known writer on American History, has written an intriguing account of the construction of the 2,000 miles of iron rails between Omaha and Sacramento.
