Book is without marks or writings, pages are brown clean, and book is tight and sturdy. SIZE: 11 x 8 ½ (approximately) PAGES: unnumbered pages BACKGROUND/DESCRIPTION: First Edition Assumed for Whitman. Whitman Publishing Co., WI 1934. Good(minus)/Fair(plus) dust jacket condition. Book is okay, except for pages have started to age brown naturally. Illustrated in black & white, cardboard cover with color litho. covers: girl at spinning wheel & troll. Whitman item # 508. Illustrations are black & white outlines & coloring book in style. Includes stereotypical dwarf 'blackamoor' in the tale called 'The Blue Light'. A larger size Whitman item, unfortunately made of materials (pulp paper) that doesn't age well. Scarce in the very fragile dust jacket.
