Von Fritsch served with the 68th New York Infantry, 11th Corps. He saw action at Chancellorsville and Gettysburg. The 68th was sent west for the Chattanooga Campaign. The unit was made up almost exclusively of German immigrants. Extremely rare Civil War title. Good copy of the first edition. Hinges weak and some rippling and staining on the front cover. Dark green boards with black lettering on the front cover and in the corners either crossed swords, a mortar, a cannon or stacked cannon balls.
