About this title

Synopsis:

Gargantuan Gunsite Gossip Volume 3 is the third and final volume of the series. It covers the years 2001 through 2006, marking the 26th year of monthly issues of Jeff Cooper's newsletter. This volume is particularly interesting in that it covers the attacks of September 11, 2001 and the subsequent conduct of America's military and cultural response.

The Gunsite Gossip newsletters contained Jeff Cooper's thoughts on firearms, training trends, the activities of friends and associates, analyses of real-world firearm techniques as he received firsthand data from the field, philosophical musings, cultural commentaries, literary reviews, thoughts on Nature, hunting, morality, ethics, and political and social trends in modern America.

These writings provide an invaluabe insight into the mind of Colonel Cooper, one of the most original thinkers of the 20th century.

The artwork by his friend and longtime collaborator Paul Kirchner is, as always, wonderful. This edition includes a Preface by his grand-daughter Amy Heath Lovato; an Afterword by Janelle Cooper, his beloved wife and lifelong friend; and a Tribute by his daughter, Lindy Cooper Wisdom, the publisher and editor-in-chief of Wisdom Publishing.

This is a handsomely designed, high quality paperback, printed on acid-free paper.

About the Author:

Author, teacher, scholar, philosopher-Jeff Cooper is internationally known as the father of the modern technique of the pistol. He was much more. A shooter, hunter and avid appreciator of achievement of all kinds, he was a connoisseur of excellence whose leadership inspired, and continues to inspire, those it touches

Terms of Sale:

Private merchant account, no taxes on sales and a standard shipping fee in accordance to rates.

Shipping Terms:

U.S. Shipping:
We ship our books according to media rate through the US Postal Services. This is the cheapest way for us to ship you your books. We will contact you if shipping will cost more than the listed price. Please note that heavier and larger-sized books will cost more to ship as the general shipping cost is used for average-weight/sized books. If you would like your book insured, specifically packed or delivered faster it will cost more and you will need to contact us.

All our packages are wrapped in foam, bubble wrap, peanuts or a combination thereof.

International Shipping:
As a standard for shipping, we ship all our books in a Global Priority Flat Rate mailer envelope. This costs just a couple bucks more than ground and will get there in 4 to 10 business days instead of the one to two months it would for Ground. Priority in a box costs a bit more (about 17.50,) but has that added bit of protection. We're more than happy to ship Ground for $9.00 or Express for $30.00. Let us know what you prefer if the option isn't listed.

All our packages are wrapped in foam, bubble wrap, peanuts or a combination thereof.
