The West Tennessee Historical Society, TN. Only book written on this CSA General from Tennessee who served in the western campaigns. Stewart graduated from West Point 1842. He taught math at Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tenn. Early in the War he was assigned to a brigade in Polkís command and he fought gallantly in all the battles of the Army of Tennessee. He was promoted to Major General in 1863 and succeeded to the command of Polkís corps on his death. He surrendered with General Johnstonís army at Greensboro. Very good copy of the first edition.
