Steel plate frontis facing a half-title with vinette. Lightly foxed. Numerous tissue guarded engravings. Overall VERY GOOD PLUS. An excellent gift for someone who loves Josephus. Josephus (37 sometime after 100 AD), who became known, in his capacity as a Roman citizen, as Titus Flavius Josephus, was a 1st-century Jewish historian and apologist of priestly and royal ancestry who survived and recorded the Destruction of Jerusalem in 70.
