Kathleen McCracken has a light touch and a dancing lyrical intellect, as she ranges through the generations, at war and in peacetime, uniting Native and European dreams with personal conduct and discovery. All through the book, like a ghost between the lines, roams the last wolf hunted down in the north of Ireland, where she currently lives and works.
About the Author: Kathleen McCracken is the author of poetry books including The Constancy of Objects (Penumbra 1988), and Blue Light, Bay and College (Penumbra 1991) which was nominated for the 1992 Governor General’ s Award for Poetry. Her work has also been very widely published in both Canadian and international magazines and journals. Born in Markdale, Ontario, she currently lives in Greenisland, Northern Ireland.
