Hardcover in dust jacket. First printing of signed limited edition (this is marked copy #135). SIGNED by all four of the book's Foreword contributors, George Scherer, Robert Osborne, Colin Higgins, and Charles H. Williamson, as well as rare book dealer George Houle, who authored and published the book, which catalogues film director George Cukor's personal library. In addition, Houle (on the limitation page) and Osborne (by his contribution) have added personal inscriptions to "Tucker" [Fleming], who was a well-known collector and autograph dealer who helped with the book. And screenwriter John Patrick ("Les Girls") has signed his name by entry #1036, an autographed note in the Cukor's collection. Altogether 1419 items are catalogued, with valuations as of the time of publication, 1986. Illustrated by several facsimile letters and signatures, and a photo of Cukor in his library. Book and unclipped dust jacket are in fine, As New, gift-giving condition, crisp and clean, with tight binding and sharp corners. Paul Landacre bookplate replicated on front wrapper and as frontispiece illustration. Laid in is a letter from another rare book dealer thanking Houle for sending him the book and expressing his admiration for it, conveying, as it does, "a strong sense of a valuable and cherished library." 4to. 123 pp. In protective Mylar.
