About this title

From Library Journal:

Retired movie director Jeremiah Gage lives in New Mexico with his second wife and their young daughter. Fifteen years earlier, during the turbulent 1960s, his first wife had gone mad and died. His son, Peter, had become involved with activists and died blowing up a powder factory. Only now Gage begins finding clues that maybe Peter didn't die. The murder of a priest triggers a series of events culminating in a confrontation at a shrine involving the police, natives, a SWAT team, and father and son. The pace is suitably fast for this thriller, but the coincidences and contrivances give a patchwork effect to some of the flashbacks. The climax, however, is sensational.
