About this title

Synopsis:

"We can unlock the potential for happiness and satisfaction that lies within each of us by becoming aware of our mental processes and then applying discriminating wisdom to all our actions of body, speech, and mind." -Kathleen McDonald

A Gift of Happiness is part of an inspirational series that delivers greater understanding, harmony, and enlightenment for all who journey through life. Each volume of the series, which also includes A Gift of Awakening and A Gift of Inner Peace, combines author Gill Farrer-Halls's Buddhist-focused concepts with British artist Robert Beer's exquisite color illustrations inspired by the natural world. Book jackets boast an eye-catching translucent cover with metallic inks.

A Gift of Happiness invites readers to find their true and joyful selves, while opening their hearts to lasting peace through the laws of karma. The book examines traditional Buddhist concepts such as purification, acceptance, selflessness, and nonattachment, addressing the true meaning of happiness and how it can be realized. Practical exercises, uplifting lessons, and proactive meditations make this a helpful and thorough guide to the subject.
