About this title

The Human Genome Project began in 1997 with the merging of three research centers Lawrence Berkley, Lawrence Livermore, and Los Alamos National Laboratories into the Joint Genome Institute under the collaborate effort of the three, it made for an intense focus on the makeup of man. The knowledge of the 24 chromosomes and their 30,000 genes affected many areas of science, such as agriculture, medicine, and mechanics. Yet, after several years and exciting breakthrough this science is still in its infancy. The ramifications in the manipulation and uses of this exciting field are still unknown.

About the Author:

S. Salerni is a 77 year old man who has a passion for telling stories both fiction and otherwise. He has four lifetime desires, writing a novel, going to medical school, becoming a licensed pilot (obtaining his license when he turned 70), and winning his bars as an army officer. He accomplished three - all but the second. He has been married to Marie for 53 years. They have three children, Catherine who was a nurse in Virginia, a son Ted who is a System Engineer with the local Electric Company, and a son Tony who is a neurosurgeon. Why did he write this story? With movies, novels, and television constantly highlighting the "evil one" he thought it was time that someone write about the power of God and told in the same style. This is his first try at writing and he is now working on the sequel to "The Gift of Sidone".
