About the Author:

Eddie J. Carr, after publishing his first book, “Truth Is”, Life Love and Humor, has now wrote a fictional tale using the southern part of lower Alabama as his setting. Like his book of poetry, he has entered history into this fictional tale that he calls his southern/western. Even thought the lines do not rhyme the story told is in the same nature as his poems, full of excitement, history and imagination. Eddie has been urged by his family and friends to continue writing and plans on beginning a lengthy story using one of his poems from Truth Is. With everything in the world as it is today, it doesn’t hurt to look back at how things were. Using the struggles that people faced in a time when a person had to learn to work for them selves and use any means they could to survive. Eddie’s love of the outdoors, history and horses has brought this tale to life. His hopes are that person’s reading it will enjoy the story and uncover the “Gifts of Onile.”
