First edition. Octavo (21.5 x 14 cm); 64 pp; illus. Side-stapled pictorial wrappers with over sixty black & white illustrations throughout. Wrappers are rubbed and worn along the edges; a few newspaper articles laid in, but without the usual toning to pages. Clean throughout. From the title page: "This Book is the first in a series of Film Star Biographies compiled by Gordon Reid." The wikipedia article of its day, this book includes biographical information on Lollobrigida and features many black & white photographs from her movies and her personal life. No other copies available in the trade and only three found institutionally in OCLC. Scarce. Bookseller Inventory # 001471

I, the Andalusia Bookman, have a stock of over 100,000 covering a wide range of items specializing in 19th and 18th c. illustrated books, chromolithos, Philadelphiana, rare anthropology, early hermeneutics, Natural history, first editions and signed items, Beat lit, '60's material, unusual occult, erotica and esoterica. Art journals, Italian Fascist publications, etc., culled from Walter J. Johnson's liquidation, as well as a collection rare jazz records, including 100's of Boogie Woogie and BeBop '78s, And much more, just ask. I was previously established as The Book Merchants, the Philadelphia's Riverside Book Fair and 30th Street Station Book Fair. In 1991 I purchased the stock of Samuel Kleinman's legendary Schuylkill Book and Curio Shop of 4207 Lancaster Ave., Phila. PA.
