Profusely illustrated throughout with over 500 color plates reproducing the orignal hand-tinted images from the original. The "Giornale delle Nuove Mode." was the first fashion periodical to be printed in Italy, published in Milan between 1786 and 1794. The extensive introductory sections are in English while the caption parargraphs appear in the original Italian. A fine, tight, clean set in fine slipcase.
