About this title

Synopsis:

When it comes to the Djinn, very few people pay attention to their intrusive presence. They come and go with ease, utilizing the Dreaming as a means to interact with whomever they wish. Jack was no exception, blissfully unaware of these entities watching him from his dreams. Slacking his way through his mid-20's, he savored the entertainment that his foul-mouthed friends and recent gang activity sprinkled into his life. He had no motivation or desire to move onto bigger and better things.

That was, until one Djinn stepped out from the background of the Dreaming and finally introduced himself. Skeptical at first, Jack dismissed the chance occurrence until he was handed tangible proof in Reality. A special handbook entitled "The Grimoire" was the gift, and it was designed to unlock the gateway into the Djinn life.

In this dark, cynical, twisted urban fantasy, Jack's wildest nightmares are about to come true. The rigid line between Reality and the Dreaming had been permanently blurred. The Djinn had Jack hooked like an adrenaline addict, and all he could do is go for the ride of his life. Will the Dreaming be too much for him to handle?

From the Author:

Dreaming is the original concept behind a lifelong dream to tellmy own story. When I was young, I heard someone ask, "If your story waswritten down, would anyone read it?" I was lucky enough to be given theopportunity to make it happen.

The Gods of Chaos project took me about 10 years tofinally publish this first book, and of the all the entries, Dreaming is most closely modeled after real life during my early twenties. Although allof the names have been substituted, nearly all the characters (with theexception of the Djinn) retained the qualities of my friends and family thatI grew up with. What you have here is how we would've reacted, hadsuch circumstances actually occurred, at least to the best of my imagination.

Dreaming is my introduction into the Djinn Universe. The Gods of Chaos series follows Jack, from his perspective, through his wild and unruly adventure interacting with the Djinn. My secondary series, The Djinn Trials, focuses on themes riddled within the same Djinn Universe, and expands beyond the reaches of Jackie Boy's tale.

New for 2016: The Gods of Chaos has been updated to include modern cultural references to set the story within a 2015 setting. I listened to many of my readers who provided valuable feedback, and after writing Poacher Hunters, I realized my writing style had improved considerably since 2013. The Dreaming story-line doesn't depart much from the original version, it just flows much better. It also more efficiently sets up for the colossal events that unfold in Netherworld.
