Synopsis: When two holy sisters discover a little girl in the woods and take her back to an orphanage, she mysteriously insists that Jesus is her brother. The child's spiritual powers are gradually revealed, and she is adopted by a gambler and his mistress. A harrowing, high-stakes adventure ensues. Are the strange events that surround this child of God true miracles meant to deliver redemption for the people in her life? Or is she simply a precocious child? God's Only Daughter is an entertaining and thought-provoking tale that takes place near the end of WWII. Told alternately through the voice of the little girl and that of one of the nuns who found her, author Damon Galeassi delivers a unique and moving story of salvation and love. Author Bio: Damon Galeassi grew up in small town outside of Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. He now resides in an eco-village called "The Quarries" in Virginia, situated on the top of Walton's Mountain, where the ghost of John-Boy lingers, along with real-life moonshiners. Mr. Galeassi is the author of A Sixties Book aka Spiderwort, a psychedelic, anti-nuclear tale of the construction of Three Mile Island Nuclear Plant. He also has written a collection of short stories, Twelve Tales of Trepidation, available on Amazon Kindle. He is currently developing the sequel to God's Only Daughter. The characters of the Sisters at the convent were reminiscent of my mother's tales of Catholic school, Nuns, and the Nunnery. There is a great mix of narrators, dialogues, and memorable character attributes. I would recommend this book to friends.

A very enjoyable read; a fun story! Mr. Galeassi has presented a story of a relationship between a Divine Father and Daughter (Joy); he has done so in a "real-world" situation which is both engaging and enjoyable. Loved his honest-to-goodness characterization of the nuns of the orphanage, the off-beat characters of Vinny and Celie (shades of "My Cousin Vinnie"!), the believable relationship between Joy and Michael (her Guardian Angel), and the references to Jesus (as Joy's brother).

Finally, a happy ending worth reading!
This is a calm, serene happiness, a feel-good book, as the author promises, with a warm-fuzzy ending. It asks more than the question, "What if God had a daughter?" but also makes one think about faith itself. Some of the characters are stereotypical, but they make for a light read, and they play well off the main characters. This book is both funny and inspirational. Well-written. Bravo!

The little girl in the story pulls into her orbit a wonderful mix of characters with an array of motives and backgrounds. I especially loved the imagery of her playing with the bear in the forest, her adventures with the Sciazzos and her astute recognition of the disconnect between her father's intentions and the Earthly service in her father's name.

I found this book to be charmingly written. I smiled whenever i sat to read it...which doesn't take long, it is a fast and easy read.
Somewhat comical, but has a nice message and I really loved all the main characters.
