Octavo. Hardcover, 1882. Household Edition. Ex-library with the usual treatments. Goethe is considered to be the supreme genius of modern German literature. All four books are uniform in green cloth with red and black decoration and gilt lettering. Autobiographhy, Volumes Iand II, in one book.329 and 331 pages. Faust and Dramatic Works, 708 pages. Poems and Dramatic Works, in one book, 439 and 355 pages. Wilhelm Meister' s Apprenticeship and Travels. Volumes I and II in one book, 435 and 387 pages. Text with frontispieces and additional drawings throughout. All exteriors are good. Sturdy. Attractive, but all have some tearing at the spine ends. Inner front hinge of Wilhelm M. is beginning to split. Faust/Dramatic is the only volume that has exterior call numbers, neatly done in white. Interiors are all clean and firm. There is an occasional light pencil marking. 4 pages in the Faust/Dramatic volume have been tape repaired. Bookseller Inventory # GRP38215651
