About this title

A sabbatical journey turned out to be their most exciting experience in more than 30 years of Christian ministry. They "lived" with five different congregations in various parts of the U.S. and sent reports back to the home church describing what they were learning and how the lessons could be used back home. Many of their friends in other congregations wanted to read these insightful reports so they mailed photocopies to many places. Now you can read these very same reports too, contained in this volume. It's a completely different look at discipleship, a view you must see.

Bill and Carmelita have pursued the Lord's work for more than 22 years near downtown Los Angeles, at the Highland Park church of Christ. Their work has been with immigrants, drug abusers, gang members, and other "throw-aways" of society. Their ministry was featured on the cover and in an award-winning article in the January 1987 issue of Christian Herald magazine. For 32 years Bill edited Good News, and he has been published in many Restoration Movement journals. He participated in five of the Unity Forums that have been held in the 1980s. Bill and Carmelita have been on the staff for more than a dozen years at Nationwide Youth Roundup, held every August in the Colorado Rockies. They have four sons and one daughter, and five grandchildren.
